Weekly News September 8th




Study Tips
  •       View videos on the blog or that are sent through emails that we make in class
  •        Flashcards: go through flash cards and create 2 piles. The pile on the left are the cards you get incorrect, and the pile on the right are cards you get correct. Continue going through the cards on the left side until they all can be moved to the right side.

·      Use these games to practice rounding
·      Use these games to practice multiplication
·      Use these songs to help with skip counting

·      If they need help with rounding have them watch these videos



Reading with your child
  •       Read aloud to your child some nights
  •       Read books to your child that are too challenging for them to read on their own.
  •      Talk about what you or they are reading
  •       Point out figurative language (similes, metaphors, onomatopoeia ect)
  •     Ask your child how the characteristics of the characters change throughout the story
  •      Ask your child to: predict, summarize, and explain why something happened or someone did something.
