Land Bridge Theory

This week our class discovered the land bridge theory. We did this by brainstorming in groups, and then rethinking our hypotheses after receiving "News Flashes."

Friday we visited Mrs. Burn's classroom and we got to see an awesome activity. Before watching we made predictions about what we thought would happen when the ingredients got mixed together. After we watched we made quantitative and qualitative observations.

Cup challenge

Today we completed a cup challange! In teams we used a string and a single rubber band to make a stack with 6 cups without touching the cups. From this we learned about qualities it takes to work well in teams like kindness, respect and listening to each other.

Fantastic first day!

Hi Morrison's Minion followers,

Today was a great first day to the beginning of a fantastic year! As a class we decided our class name would be Morrison's Minions! We had a great time learning about each other, making pirate masks, learning about the different continents and many more awesome things about our classroom!

Weekly News- First week of school!

Hi everyone!

I hope that this last weekend is used to soak up the last beautiful parts of summer! Below is important information for the school, upcoming events and for each subject. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email me at maria.morrison@spartanburg2.k12.sc.us

Please feel free to send a snack and water with your child on Monday. We will not need to worry about any airborne allergies in room 405 therefor you are able to send a snack to eat before lunch as long as it is healthy!

I can not wait to see you on Monday for a fantastic first day in fourth grade :)
